Folding@Home

TechnoChubby | January 30, 2008

A while back ago we started playing with some features of our PS3 and found the Folding@Home application and enabled it when the PS3 was not in use.  We feel this is a good use of the PS3’s resources when it’s not being used.

Folding@Home is Stanford University’s distributed computing project that uses the un-used processes on your machine to calculate Protien Folding for use in medical research.

If you would like to find out more about this please visit: http://folding.stanford.edu/

If you are interested in joining the TechnoChubby team and adding your statistics to our team, our team number is 105572.

Our stats can be viewed at: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=105572

The Folding@Home client can be run on a number of platforms, please see their website for more info.
